The gravelly substrate is a material I developed from a digital image of some gravel I photographed in West Virginia.
Born at the tail of the baby boom, James was introduced to drawing and painting at an early age by his parents. Now, nearly 65 years later, he still occasionally sketches and paints but for the most part uses computer graphics programs for image creation. His favorite programs are Blender, GIMP, Poser, and Vue. He currently lives in a small town in New Jersey, sharing his space with two cats and a human female.

I really like your gravelly substrate material. I think it is very cool to take the seed of something real like the digitized reflected light from a landscape in West Virginia, and then use it inside your virtual creation. Kind of makes my spine tingle. Thanks.
