Description

Not up to opening poser yet but found this old image that seems perfect for today. I cry for the lost innocence of children, for a society that makes a fun bonding time between parent and child something dirty - the simple bubble bath. I cry for the freedom my children don't have that I did - playing in the street with the neighbourhood kids, skinny dipping in the channel across the road. I cry for the grandfathers who feel uncomfortable nursing their grand kids for fear it is seen as them being perverts. I cry coz common sense has gone out the window here as well. Many know I was a foster parent to abused children and one of the saddests things I had to do was tell my father the things he wasn't allowed to do for the foster kids to protect himself. It broke his heart that he may be seen this way and it broke the kids heart to see my kids getting bear hugs and them not allowed to after all they called him grandad too. He could not do up their seatbelts in case a child reported back that he touched them. No applying sun screen no physical contact what so ever. This was the most loving protective man I know and it hurt enough rambling thanks for viewing kids loose their innocence too young these days without the do gooders and prudes here. I am all for protecting children they are the most precious form of life but don't turn that protection into inprisonment Chris

Hear, Hear!! I applaud you and this image, for it truly shows the loss a child can go through when their innocence is taken away because of all that you stated and more. Bless you, Chris. For all your work in your private life as well as the work you show us. Now, I have to go get my tissues. v

Couldn't have been said better. This hurts. Dang, what is becoming of the workd when we can't even love our children for fear of being accused of abuse? Brilliant statement, and like the image, it brings tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing.

You know, I think that going so far overboard the other direction makes everyone uncomfortable, too!!! What ridiculous restrictions. I wish we could go back to the days when people acted like sickos were the exception, rather than the rule!!!! Beautiful work, Chris-I remember this one, and it's still gorgeous!!! EXCELLENT job!!

kids are somehow losing their innocence because of the new TOS on renderosity? Nice render, but a bit melodramatic over this new TOS issue. Nice speach too, tho the Fathers and Grandfathers bit is a whole nother topic outside of renderosity

you miss the point it wasn't just about renderosity and the tos it was about the state of the society we now live in hence the comparison of my childhood to that of my children it was about a whole range of things of which the new tos are just a small part

I agree as well Chris. I am a care worker I am taking a course at the moment and part of it deals with abuse. There are things in it like you would not believe. Your art as ever is always fantastic :) Cathy oxoox

Good to see you're still "with us" Chris. What you say is so true, but it is an unfortunate fact of life, that there are some people around, that should have been shot at birth! I know of one man, who used to have NUDE picutres of his children in his office. what a sicko! So sad, but we have to protect these innocent children. Well done my friend! Steve :o)

i dont want my kids to grow up thinking sex is dirty..when it is one of the most beautiful loving ways to express yourself... i feel for the innocent accused, and the accusers..something prescious is lost...and i also feel for the children who cant defend thier situations..chris this is a very expressive image indeed...

This is a gorgeous image loaded with feeling. Bear no malice against the ignorant -- but rather ignorance itself. You make a perfect point.

All what you say hurts Chris... hurts in the deepest part of the heart, I truly can't understand why people are so sick, so ignorant and so perverted to see things as they do. It's a pitty, it's a shame... I'm afraid of what our kids and the kids of our kids will have to live in the future... sigh THanks for sharing this touching image and thoughts. I'm 100% with you! Love Alejandra

A very touching ,and multifaced subject. I totally agree that parents and grandparents are being limited in their right to raise and nurture children. It truely saddens me the extent athorities have to go to now a days to protect children. Unfortunately all to often they are overworked, and far to many cases are mishandled. If some people minded there own business, and stuck to reporting valid cases it would be far easier, and far more drastic cases would be handled. And,many more children who really need help would receive it. Hugz
