Planet: Littlerock Original planet. Different mats on this version. Still tweaking the sky too. Intersting how the displacements don't show up in the water reflections. Guess I'll have to lose the water in the final version of this planet. Thanks for viewing!

I think I remember reading that if displacements were reflected on a water material or reflective mat, the render times would be horrendous. Maybe something for the future when computers get that much faster. Excellent stuff Bruce ;D

Another possiblilty would be to make a feature of it change surface mat to a glacial one and keep the refelection .. it would then look like fallen rock spikes prenetrating the ice .. Nice looking planet tho ..

Ha Ha...I should have looked at this shot before commenting on the last one....I see we are on the same wavelength Bruce!!...I don't know the answer in MJW...but I'll send you a quick msg soon explaining 1 solution to the problem..by the way I like the colors in this one even more than the last!!...Great shot!!
