Description

We found a natural tunnel in the park. Since I am studying compositional guidelines in class, this one might be my example of "eye movement." So far, my children are still happy to be my subjects! More composition photos to follow. Thanks for your views, comments and support. :0)

Fantastic natural tunnel, interesting contrast with the girderwork at the far end! The vertical lines on the trees create an unusual effect to the line of movement of your eye through the picture!

very very strong shapes through out. creates a nice grid. the tower in the background is distracting. the two children create a nice triangle, which is repeated in the path, and suggested once again in the trees in the foreground. solid composition. do you think it could benefit from some tweaking? stronger colors, contrast, sharpening, possibly removing the tower?

Yes, have considered removing the white tower, but am seriously trying NOT to tweak my photos for the time I am in class. LOVE the suggestions....keep 'em coming.

Boy there's a lot to like about this pic Mom. The tunnel effect draws you right into them.. the red shirt grabs your eye immediately. Love the texture on the trees. Agree with not over-tweaking. I like (as much as possible) to leave the pics as I shoot them... capturing things as they were, not as I'd like them to be.
