Okay, I admit that I'm in a tad bit of a grumpy mood. This illustration fits my mood. ;) Really not sure where I was going with it, but this is just the beginning, I feel.

I think you got a bit annoyed by selecting the trees, the left side is quite accurate while the right is obviously selected, a pity because the idea is wonderful. You can pause while selecting, just be sure the screensaver on your system doesn't come in too soon, take a breath, a nip of coffee or whatever you like, another breath and go on selecting, you'll get there and in time learn more about the possibilities and impossibilites of selecting. You're on the right track!
