Description
Here's the second version of my latest ship. Pretty much the same as the free version, just a few extra tweaks here and there.
This started as a test to see if I could render a space ship, in space without having any external lights. No sun, no star light, not nothing. So this is rendered with zero ambience and the ship is lit purely from the lights that it's carrying with it. Then I got carried away with the background and wanted to create a kind of hyper-space doppler shift type effect. So here it is.
Sorry it's a bit blurry, but try taking a picture of a ship travelling near the speed of light, with an instamatic camera. ;-)

GREAT image. The blue and green glows MAKE IT/.

Veerrrrryyyy cool. I love the cockpit green glow. I'll struggling with figuring out the scale though...2 seater? 4 seater?
drawbridgep
Two seater, but it's got quite a bit of room to the side of the seats, so could probably fit two x two.

I guess you got what you set out to create...a Super render. I especially like the subtle lighting in the cockpit. Nice one Phil.

the subtle blur and minimal lighting add realism to the fighter model, nice job!

Love the ship! The high speed effect is very convincing.
