A time for family reunions, A time of joy. For most people when they remember holidays from their past, their childhood, they are good and happy memories. For some of us, this is not so. For some of us holidays are filled with sad and terrible memories. I am sure no one wants to be bummed out on Easter. But for the children of violent alcoholics, for the children who grew up with only one parent, or none. Or for children who grew up with two parents, but really didn't have either parent 'there'. For children of abuse of all kinds and who as adults are still listed among the 'walking wounded', I dedicate this image. I am one of them. I remember. Every holiday is a vigil. I really like that song and I sympathize with those that you talk about. I was lucky as a kid, more so than my oldest daughter who is a child of divorce, and yet I find little joy in holidays. This is a beautiful fractal, full of light and joy that should brighten all of our spirits. Very nicely done.

"Walking Wounded", I am one...thank you for the lovely image and sentiment....Holidays are bitter-sweet. But, trying to make great memories for my own children so that when they open up that file on their childhood, the gift I've given is a better life than my own...one of happiness....Ginny

Both of my parents died On or near Easter. My dad was April 7, 1996 Easter Sunday. My mom was April 9, 1972 a week before Easter sunday. Easter is what it is for those who celebrate it. I celebrate in my own quiet ways. This is a beautiful fractal and a very awesome tribute. Christine.

Truly alot of pain within memories of the hidden past. Stunning render, Leanndra! You just keep turning them out, one right after the other. I love the shape of this design it has a nice flow and the colors are wonderful together. They really highlight and show of the image with perfection. Another one for the perfect book!!!

Beautiful, Leanndra. I had both parents, and a happy family life, but during my adult life I found that outside of my 'Cocoon' people were not so kind, and that just because you love someone, that doesn't necessarily mean that they love you back. Holidays aren't much fun for me, either. For those of us who are alone, they are a little hard to face. Thank you.
