Description
The sight is bleak and foreboding; a wide plain of blackened earth stretches between Mordimus and the mountain of Black Rock. He watches as thousands of his orcs and trolls advance toward the massive tower that stands upon the mountain's hip. An eerie slow-moving green mist belches continuously from the tower's mouth, sweeping down the surrounding foothills to collect in the valleys below.
The earth is black, devoid of life, its soil untouched by a sun that lends it's life-giving warmth to all the lands about it.
These are the lands of the Necromancer.

Notes:
My last big image, "Delivering The Dead", was rendered in Vue 5 Esprit. It had approx 150 orcs, took 42 hours to build, 6 hours to render the 10 parts, and about 5 hours to composit together.
This image was rendered in Vue 5 Infinite. It has 1854 orcs, took 10 hours to build, 4.5 hours to render (Global Illumination), and required only minor touch-ups. If you haven't got Infinite yet, GET IT!
