Description

It's wonderful weather for a good hike along the lakes. So I decide to start in Thun where the Thuner See (Lake Thun) ends in the Aare river and I want to walk along the northern bank to Interlaken, where the Thuner See starts with the water that originates from the Aare river. In fact you can see the lake as a wide and deep part of this river. Switzerland has many nice old wooden bridges like this one here in Thun. It looks all very promising to me with a day of walking ahead. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

That sun promisses we will soon want to take off our coats. A memory of Banff and Lake Louise with the Grand Hotel in the background. This wooden bridge and the dam is a novelty.

Beautiful shot. Even the flare on the camera lens adds to the atmosphere in my opinion! We walked along a similar bridge. Does this one have lots of pictures and stories carved into the wood inside? Looking forward to seeing the rest of your walk!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent shot. I just love these old covered bridges. It looks from the wake on the water that this is a deep and heavy current flow. I can't quite make it out but that looks to be a short dam under the bridge there. I am impressed with the way you managed to get this shot pointed into the sun, without it fading the view entirely. I need to practice that technique myself sometime.
