Wow having some great time again contemplating... But hey, it's not so vivante as it should be, the objects are all on their places!;) When I made my still-life with the same name, spoons, forks and sugarcubes were flying all around the table! Love your glass; the orange tex is perfect, but the color is too saturated. Hey, all the 'dalinean' food's here - bread, beans, fried eggs. Where's the bacon?;)

Yes, "Nature morte vivante" is the title of a famous Dalis, but my intention here was to make a simple (not so simple) realistic render, and i'm not interested about flying objects, and I don't remember now if the Dali's painting have bacon...

Very realistic work! The only real shame is that someone spilled some nice drink! Great job!!

Beautiful work!! The best items are the glass, the plate, and the bottle. Great textures!

Good job at rendering things that are hard to replicate with 3d mesh... I swear, in a few years... almost everything will be 3d. Nice work :)

Palmix!!!!! Did you do this??? I have to say,it does'nt look like your work.It has a certain rookie look to it.Although there is that caustic effect. But everything looks plain fake!!! I mean look at the egg,it does'nt look quite like an egg,and the errors on the plate, the lower part of the plate. And what kind of cheese is that?? Also, that bread looks like it came out from a poser render!!! Palmix!!! I cant believe this is you!!! what happened???? Or maybe it's the look you were going for?

PUREFLESH: The cheese is from La Mancha, Spain, and the wine... everything product of Spain, and this is just a trying about difficult materials, objects, that NOBODY has tried. The not_antialiasing refractions in the lower part of the plate, by the way, is due to the rendering time while the first test, with local & global antialiasing, spent over 4 hours in my P IV 1.500 and the render never ends... (soft area shadows with transparency and caustics by Cebas BoV plugin). Now you may to do your own render about the plate, or the egg (only a modeling problem), for example, and post it here...
