Description

This was taken awhile back when I made a circut of the country, trip was from Balitmore to San Francisco (Siggraph), down to LA then across to New Orleans, then Savanah, GA, up to Maryland again. I met this gentleman in New Orleans, and managed to get him to pose...we had a long talk over coffee on Borbon street, I don't know if he's still on his corner, but his haunting sax melodies will always be with me...

A lot harder to get the contrast right than it looks I bet. The dark passage with it's slight blue glow, gives a very nice offset to the rest of the image. Nice work. I'm pestering my wife for us to take a trip down there. maybe next year.

The day was just right, sunny in some areas and cloudy in others, this was around a corner from a sunny spot so I got the warm colors of him and the building, and then blue shadowed archway was a bonus.
