Looks cool mate. I like the fire cracks on the bg, they look cool. The fire would probably look more realistic if you couldnt see the solid yellow bar accross the bottom, but the flame bits look fine. Great Lighting (postwork volume?) Excellent. Matt :-) ps. dont break your pen LOL.

Looks pretty good for a first go.. congrats on getting a pen.. I havent had the chance to use mine yet :( I agree with Matt, ya just have to get rid of the yellow bar across the bottom to make it look more realistic :)

Dear Brodie, SO - you, too, have now got a tablet - didn't by any chance "borrow" it from your "smug" uncle did you? Hmmmm? Anyway - congratulations and I can see you are having a lot of fun with it. I think your flames work very well with this picture and fit very well stylistically with the young lady. While a realistic flame is not always necessary (or desirable in a lot of cases,) you might try the technique I used in the campfire in Meredith_00222. I did about the same thing you have done, but used eight overlapping semi-transparent layers to give it some depth. I don't think mine was all that realistic, but it might give you some ideas!!! And since I steal everything in sight, (keep the tablet locked up,) it's only fair that friends steal anything of mine they can use!!! ;-) A really cute picture - cute always comes to mind with this character - and the background and postwork are very, very good. Excellent work!!! Love, Meredith

Very nice job with the lighting!! flames would be better if the bottom portion was not so elongated. :)

Hot picture :-) The flames fit the cartoonish character quite well. Great work!
