Description
This was painted primarily for a tutorial that I created on skintones, and is therefore a pretty simple elven portrait.

Wonderful work. I hate the pointed ears (where in mythology does it say elves have pointed ears?!) but aside from that the hair is excellent and the skin tones give realistic depth. I think the lips are especially good as after over thirty years of drawing, I still think they are one of the hardest things to perfect. VOTE

It's wonderful to appreciate your technique. Aafter viewing your tutorial, I liked most the part where you explain the importance of the color theory. I notice the subtleties on the textures, namely on the eyelids and the lips. Not to mention the ear design, with all its reliefs...

The picture is outstanding and the tutorials are equally good. Well worth visiting and probably visiting more than once. Maybe it's a commonn thing to do but adding the mist layers between each layer to create distance seems like a brilliant innovation to me. I would never have thought of it.

This is just absolutely incredible and the tutorial is excellent and informative :O) I am really impressed by the porcelain like quality of her skin...just a perfect coloring for an elf I think very pure and light. Anyway GORGEOUS JOB and I woulda voted if it weren't for the fact I am way late LOL :O) HUGS and GORGEOUS JOB!!! :O)
