Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

LOLOLOL - for tens of thousands of Swiss (like my father), Thun is where they did a large part of their army training - not quite Narnia.

Such clarity! Beautiful composition, colours, reflections - and I like the way the two ducks have just skated into the picture.

I am reading about Lufthansa taking over Swiss (grown from Crossair) and remembering the double decker plywood mockup of the proposed DC-10 and the brochure marketing it to Swissair in 1969-70. Now that the whole of Douglas is a flat brown field I suppose the wine cellar with it's mockup room I once would wander in to get real is gone too. To have these old treasures of architechture is really a gift of conscience.

This is a fairytale land - to those of us who live in the desert far away it is most unreal! Well done!

I suppose it might resemble Cair Paravel somewhat. I'd love to see it in the spring when some green is added to the lovely blues, reds and yellows! Nicely done!
