Description


This is the final test render of a creature design concept by 'John Cox Creature Workshop', (Pitch Black, Peterpan, Racing Stripes etc.). The task was to produce a digital form of his design for use in animation projects. The 'Gillman' was modeled in Lightwave 8.2 Texturing and Bumpmap were created with Zbrush2 Regards, John Cooper Australia

Excellent work on the creature! I specially like the detailing on the chest, hands (opposable thumbs) and feet. The "water" seems fairly heavy and blobby looking, more like a dull mercury than water.

Yeah, I agree Moebius - I tried realistic water but, it would not show up enough against the dull background. I had invested too much time into the character, so I got slack. I thought that if the water was under some sort of mental control - it would affect the viscosity and opacity... well that's my excuse 8 )
