Excellent atmosphere, very relevant to the title :) though i found it quite hard to notice those figures you added in psp, but i found them in the end :) Great terrain work and texturing !! WEll done!

Beautiful terrain - as hazy as it is I think soft shadows would work well here. Sorry, must not have has enough coffee this am, can't find the people.

You're right, the people are hard to see, they're much more obvious when it isn't scaled down (originally 1600 x 1200)
