Description
A little excercise in creating body parts with realistic musculature layouts in the model itself. The muscles and veins are all in the model itself and not due to fancy texturing efforts. The texture is a fairly plain color map with a slight bit of noise added, although there is a separate overlay map to help highlight the veins themselves.
Just curious if people would find such 'replacement' body parts of use in their Poser scenes.

Wow ! This is impressive !

Hey cool, thanks. Now if I can just figure out how to connect it to a Poser model without them looking like some kind of cyborg Franken-Dude... :)

That's very good--I tried once to accomplish something similar with bumpmaps, but it didn't work at all.

That is really excellent!!!

I think the elbow looks to thin, and the arm pit/breat muscle...looks strange, but i guess its the arms you want to show, and they look exelent.
dke
Well true Odin - The armpit/ribs/pectoral muscles are only roughed in as a place to attach the arm too. The elbow is also not as thin as it looks, but agree with your point after re-looking at it. Will post a view from several angles once I get the new web-site up.

Nice detail, very good forearms. If you could get a good blend with Poser, that would be too cool. Could you make it into a morph, somehow?

Looks very very good, I hope to see more.

Thank you, and your wish for more will certainly be met :) As for a morph, it could be a minimal implementation, but there just isn't sufficent detail and/or the neccessary geometry layout in either the Poser or DAZ models to handle this look. Not to say that it would require a heavily detailed model, but for example, with the geoemtry layouts of current Poser models it would be extremely difficult to include the veins in such a morph except as perhaps a simple on/off switch. Plus, I believe the MassiveMike model already has the major muscle morphs so I wouldn't want to try and just duplicate the efforts already available in such a popular model.
