Description

The back end of the Kremlin in Moscow. The Kremlin, originally a fortress in the center of the city, was the seat of government from the origins of the Muscovite state until 1712 (when Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg) and again after 1918 (when Lenin moved it back). Photographed during a holyday in Russia exactly 20 years ago.
