Description
Modeled with MicroStation. Background & sky done with Terragen. Solar flair done with Paint Shop Pro.
This is a view from a city currently under development. While the city is not complete, Images I provide from certain places within it will be of a more complete nature. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Very nice job on the water! Overall the image looks very nice. You did an excellent job compositing the various parts. You could probably use some more 3-dimensional texturing on paving blocks in the immediate foreground as they appear a little flat. Some people and cars would also make the city appear more "lived in". The realism in this image is a big improvement over your first image.

The water was created from scratch in Paint Shop. It's in two layers in the model. The lower layer has the texture image. About 3" above that is a clear bump map, tinted blue. This was my first serious attempt at water.

I think the image is a spectacular render. With AKA-Paah some people would make it look inhabited and truly this is a city I would love to live in. Keep up the good work.

Well, I've been living in this model for a few months, part time. It's slowly getting a 'lived in' look. I've planted more trees than Johnny Appleseed. In time, I've even ripped them out and replaced them with more gluttonous vectorwood trees, which have to be root-fed my computer resources. One building can consume over 32 megs, including landscaping. I'd be lying if I said comments like yours didn't make it worth the effort. I love 3D work, but that keeps me at the keyboard a little longer. Even the constructive crits have the same effect.

Reminds me of a buisness park I once visited in Houston, Texas. I really like the Bridge. Great work!

I'm new (back for the second time) at Renderosity, and I had not seen your work until now. This is the best one I've seen of your gallery so far. The composition and pov are very, very interesting!
