Description

Hey everyone!!! This is a photo of a lake where i live. I put this in the photography forum and asked for help how to improve it...now i feel the need to apologize for not listening to any of the suggestions i got, LOL. Well i did listen to them all, but i choose this approach nevertheless. You know what i mean...blah blah blah...I realised i liked it just the way it was, the only thing i did was brighten it a bit at the bottom to make the swing a tad more visible. Even still, i have to thank you all for taking the time and giving me your point of view. Aaawe, how i love this place!!! Such kind and helpful people all over this magnificent site!!! I wish you all get to have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!! Thank you for looking and for encouraging and inspiring me with your valuable friendship and feedback! Andreas #:o)

sigh This one is absolutely breathtaking!!! That sky is magnificent, as are the reflections in the water. and the silhouttes...ooooh, i love that. That swing is verrrrry special, and i'm glad you listened to your gut! i do like how you lightened the foreground; it helps show more detail of the swing itself! You live in a wondrous place, and you captured a very special moment. i have to add this one to my favs. this image is PURE JOY!

Hi, If I may...I think I would include the basket seat of the swing in its whollnes, so to speak. Thank you, but it still is PURE JOY!

Such location for a living place is always my dream!!!I would not change this photo, the priority has the sky and the sky is absolutely amazing. I remind some similar skies in norway, that's typical for scandinavia, I think. By the way: would you tell me, where we find this place?? Vote I've made threes tours to sweden and love all countries of scandinavia.

Yes, it is a striking image just as it is, but what it does for me as well is provide a sense of calm and of "home" ( the swing). Makes me feel like showing up on your doorstep to stay a while.........( don't worry..I'm deathly afraid of flying, so you're safe ;-) )

Ciao Andreas. What a splendid place ! To live in this small corner of paradise, at the edge of a lake is really a privilege ! You are very lucky ! Why do you want to change anything of this photograph ? You see there is a thing which always obstructed me, and which often made put Giancarlo in anger... It's that too often, people carry a too technical glance on the photographs (in particular on those of the others... it's easier). Can't one simply appreciate a photograph for what it is ? Each photograph corresponds to an emotion, to something which one feels at one quite precise time. And it's that which makes all the magic of it ! If you take again the same photograph at another time, with another lighting, you will not test this same emotion inevitably. It doesn't matter if it is not perfect. The perfection doesn't exist in this world, God thank you !!! Don't change anything, it's splendid such as it is, for what it represents for you. The remainder does not have any importance. I would like to be at the edge of your lake, and to look at the sun there rising... That's a beautiful shot Andreas !

Gorgeous view, makes one kind of mellow. Also agree with your decision... sometimes pics lose their meaning if we do too much to them. Great shot.
