Description

I've been trying to get something decent done in 3D for quite some while, but I just stumbled onto Renderosity.com recently. At the moment I'm working on an entire home, with all the furniture and all included. Thus, this is just a very tiny bit of the entire project (and yes, I went overboard on detail). Anyhow, I hope you all like it. Tell me how you feel about it and if you have some time to spare check out my website at www.darkwheeldesign.com Seventh,

Just a second thought: I am attempting photorealisme here, but in the final series I don't think I'll even zoom in this close. So if you were wondering why some edges are so hard, that cuz just to render this picture on a T-bird 1000 it already took me close to 10 minutes. I'll line up a radiosity render for tonight though, I think it'll come out a whole lot better, but it might take a long time to render...

Why thanks Rabit for letting me know it looks like shit from up close...

About your question whether I'm gonna model everything in as much detail as this... to a point I am. I'm done pretty far really. Sofar I've got a couch, a dining table, a table to go with the couch, a cabinet, a kitchen, a bar with stools to go.
Pretty soon I'll add some pictures of the house like how it looks so far.... Some things just don't need as much detail. The computer weighs in at around 5000 polygons and 12 texture maps sofar, and it's not even finished.
Some things in the home don't have curved surfaces, so I won't need as much detail there however...

Very nice modelling, and excellent use of textures, especially on the chromed surfaces. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole thing.
