Description

[Scarlett has to get the tax for Tata somehow, and she's got the idea of asking Rhett for it] SCARLETT: Oh, Mammie, I'm so thin and pale and...I haven't any clothes. Go up to the attic Mammie, and get down Ma's old box of dress patterns. MAMMIE: What are you up to in Miss Ellen's portier? SCARLETT: You're going to make me a new dress! MAMMIE: Not with Miss Ellen's fortier, not while I got breath in my body! SCARLETT: Great balls of fire, they're my portiers now. I'm going to Atlanta for that three hundred dollars, and I've got to go looking like a queen. MAMMIE: Who's going to Atlanta with you? SCARLETT: I'm going alone. MAMMIE: That's what you think. I'm going to Atlanta with you, with you and that new dress. This was the most difficult dress of the ones that I have made so far. The description and a picture of work in progress can be found in my or in the "Work in progress"-Gallery of today. I have added a little picture of the original dress in the left corner (just if you should ask yourself what *THAT* is *g*!) I have painted much and - on the other hand - not very much in postwork here. For example, the ground is partly sprayed with a sand texture, and I have repainted the plants; but on the other hand for example the tassles on the dress are a part of the dresses' texture and were made with a trans- and bumpmap; and the "drapery" on the chest was also achieved with a bump map. Well, read my comments on the "work in progress" picture of this image. Hope you have fun! As usual, the same question as last time: Which dress should I do next? We still have the green "mirror scene" dress, the striped "a hat!" and "babywalking" dress, or bonnies riding habit. Or any other ideas? Or should I use this dress once again for the "Moonlight and Magnolias" Scene together with Rhett in the horsestable, uhmmm, prison? As always, I am thankful for any comments and inputs... Sabine

Knowing the difficulty in building these costumes, I applaud your work. The shoulder piece isnt quite right just yet, but Im sure youll find a way to make it work. My only complaint is the road. Im presupposing you created your final image in Bryce, from the textures on the buildings. By creating a fractal and then stretching it, you would come closer to the idea of the bumps in the road.
