very nice experiment, the background is just gorgeous..but don't you find that the main flame looks the best with a black background.. I always get disappointed when I try different backgrounds, too much of the details get lost. This one is a perfect match though and I love it..

Reminds me of "thankgiving". Very lovely choice of colors and design. I do have a request though and I am a bit nervous as I have not asked this of anyway else but may I use your image as a background on my computer desktop and of course I know the "Copyright Law" and will not publish or use anywhere else. Incredible and neat spiral made of spirals!. As a punishment for not making my comments homework lately, you might consider making me count them?LOL. The dark orange/brown outlines of the spiral, greatly contributes for the background not distracting the viewer too much from its design and makes for an impressive overall composition!!

At first glance, one would think the backdrop would interfer with the center piece, but you managed to marry the two with well chosen colors for your characture piece. Now one is left with a sense of depth and what a fun flame! (=
