Description

~*~Eye of Ra~*~ The utchat represents the Egyptian sacred eye. The right eye, the Eye of Ra, symbolizes the Sun. The left eye, the Eye of Thoth, symbolizes the Moon. Together they represent the Eyes of Horus The Elder. The utchat, therefore, is a symbol for the ability to spiritually perceive that which is illuminated, as well as that which is hidden. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This image of the eye of ra was sketched on bristol. I took out most of the image, keeping the eye itself. Added it to a new background. Smudged it, upped the coloration to a more desert hue. Then added a filter from Virtual Painter (I believe it is called needlepoint) Happy with this effect as it gives a texture to the image itself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many thanks to all who have viewed recent images, smiled with me, gave me a smile with your words.
