Description

Hi There This is the Gum Emperor Moth which has a wingspan of 100mm, found in New Zealand and Australia. Found him in the garden one morning, I guess he was a little lost as I have never seen one here before. Hope you have a great weekend :-)) Noeline ps: I didn't realise moths were so hairy!

Cool, these are found in Aussie as well?? I think I'll have to go out and look for one! Awesome macro, very sharp, and lovely DOF. He has beautiful markings for a moth, I dont usually see handsome moths, just the regular dark brown variety. Excellent photo =)

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!! If there is something that scares me its moths..cant explain it, but they do. Maybe because here in Sweden they are oh so ugly, not like that one. And they always fly straight into your face..yuk...eeeew...but Noeline, can i say something: THIS ONE IS A BEAUTY!!!! AND MY GOD, ITS FURRY!!!!!!! You just keep getting better and better!!! Maybe you should add a little white frame or something, to really give it that final elegant touch? Gorgeous work Noeline, just gorgeous...hmmm...my oh my, this is turning out to become quite a long comment...should probably end by just wishing you a wonderful weekend #:o) Hugs. Andreas
