Description

This isn't a great picture. It does show the limits of a digital camera (and probably mine as a photographer). But I'm posting it for a few reasons: 1) What bird is this? I noticed him and his mate making a nest in one of my hanging baskets. Guess that puts the gardening off until the babies have hatched. :-) 2) I was trying my 2x telephoto lens connected to my built in 10x zoom. Without a tripod!! Thanks for looking. Phil

What a cute little bird!!! I think you captured him very nice, as sharp as can be expected without using a tripod. Excellent job!!! Have a great weekend Phil #:O)

Tennessee's State Bird is the Mockingbird, go to tennessee.gov, if anybody really cares. And kentucky.gov for Kentucky,s Cardinal.

Well obviously your question was answered. ;) I love cardinals! Don't see them around much anymore which is a shame, they are so beautiful and a joy to watch. Great closeup Phil!
