At first I would like to thank everybody who kindly posted comments on my last picture. It is really good to get some feedback from you and greatly appreciated. Kata is a Japanise word describing a detailed pattern of different techiques from a material arts style (like Karate). It imitates a fight against a imaginary component. Most martial arts have them although non-Japanise ones have different words for it, of course! I tried to give the image a spring like atmosphere with the flowers and blossoming cherry trees and with the unsettled weather. Maybe I make a small series out of it for the different seasons . To fake some spring flowers on the grass in the background I added some white spots to the standart vue grass material in the material editor. It's really great how intuitiv the material editor in vue is! I have no idea how I could have achieved the same result in Bryce (whos material editor will forever stay a big question mark - a German computer journal stated once that you need to be rocket scientist to understand the editor...). I added a bit of transparency to the dress to make it look more silk like (well, maybe that was not the ONLY reason...). If you look closly you can see a fish swimming in the pool - I was also suprised to see him. Since I couldn't find him on the preview renders I forgot about him... Dragonfly by Noggins.
