Description

It has been a while since my last appearance at Renderosity and it was unfortunately necessary. Apart from learning new techniques within Photoshop or editing recent work, I felt the 'Egmont' gallery was trying to accomplish too much within its confines, especially after having been asked to present my work at 'photo-genesis.net', an on-line gallery web site run by Gene Bradford. Since I have excepted the invitation (which was made by Kort AKA: TwoPynts), I felt the time had come to rethink my goals. The original purpose for showing my work on Renderosity was to establish an on-line presence since I procrastinated developing my own web site for too many years. Yet my work also greatly differs within photography, depending on whether it is colour or B&W, along with my drawing, paintings and few writings. Therefore I have decided to add two more galleries, each focusing on a specific area. There will be a gallery devoted only to B&W or Duo-toned images and another gallery focusing on colour. In the meantime, the 'Egmont' gallery will remain active and will reflect a change in the work presented while the main focus shifts to the two new galleries, CameraObsura and Camera2. These galleries will be active by next week. Currently we are working on multiple projects, two major undertaking with one project having accumulated over 700 images (and more to come), revolving around a factory that has been left to vandals and graffiti tagger's and the other scenario is an assembly of abstract concepts. In the meantime, today's offering is more metaphorical as it represent my long absence and its return like the oceans tide, also I shall be making my rounds to your galleries this Sunday. Before departing, I wish to express my sincerest gratitude in all the well wishes for my friend with cancer, as I have passed them on to her. Thank you for stopping by Vielen dank das Sie vorbei gekommen sind Merci de votre visite Grazie Obrigado Dank u Takk De Please feel free to leave your comments in your native language Bitte f

Ciao ! Another beautiful photograph, that remind me that I don't go to see the sea from several month, even if I've got it at 1 km... I like the effect of the waves on the stones, and the sound that made. Thank you for sharing your work, even if you've got so much work to do. Have a nice week-end.

Beautiful color balance and composition. The cropping and format add to the abstract nature of the piece. Fantastic! V

Welcome back and thank you for the update on your work I shall look forward with interest to the new galleries. Another good photograph as always yet I would have like to have seen a longer shutter speed to really get the movement and see the trails of water receding through the shingle. Take care - look forward to your future posts :)

As the tide moves forward so does ones life. Spring, yes, new beginnings for all. Rocks and water, some of my favourite places to be by, although I've never been to the ocean, west nor east. I like this one Egmont, its personal, I can tell. Judith

Thanks for the update on what you've been up to! You sure sound busy. I look forward to seeing these two new galleries. This image is very contemplative for me, I look at it and thing of the ocean, of people that go in an out of our lives, ...floating from one stream of thought to the next. Lovely lighting and great timimg when capturing the foam and churning waves.

This is a moody picture. Reminds me of wonderful days at the sea. Summer, kids laughter, a warm wind, the sun shining on my skin... sigh Beautiful!
