Description

This image is a continuation of the "Hobo Jungle", a night shot I posted a few days ago. The images to come over the next few days will take you to an occupied camp that is located up on the hill on the left hand side of this photograph underneath a viaduct. I posted this photograph to give you an idea of the location we are going to visit. As it turns out..the residents of the camp are not Hobos, but long term Homeless. Out of respect for their privacy I will not be posting any photographs of the residents...just the camp itself. I know we have all seen this kind of stuff on TV before and some of you have the same problems in the cities where you live...But every situation is unique in itself and worthy of exploration. So I figured I'd give it a shot here on Rendo for whatever its worth. Thank you for viewing...your comments are much appreciated.

i love the jungle...perhaps those residents of the Hobo Jungle are also dreamin' of exotic places such as Africa just like i am! when i see this picture, I'm reminded of the book Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. Ok, that book was about pirates....yo ho ho and a bottle of rum"...so why am i thinkin' of that book? was there a box car in it?? scratchin head tryin' to recall hmmm, no matter. Anyway, sorry for rambling...your photo is excellently composed! i enjoy the feeling of this image...guess 'cause i always loved trains and dreamed about stowin' away on one. i know i should perhaps feel a bit sad about this photo, but i don't. this place feels good to me. i would love to explore it! can't wait to see more!!!!!!
