Description

In picture #1, Terry greets the leading front end of this "Rapid Lava" Flow. Terry stays at a safe distance as sometimes those red glowing lava will suddenly shoot forward unexpectedly. The lava is moving about one foot/minute. But even at this distance, the heat is intense asTerry face is starting to turn a little red again. In the past (Feb 23 post), I had walked this "Lava Trail" area and its just not the same. Lava had changed the entire landscape as the trails differ in color. In the second picture, lava was behind me while I was taking Terry's picture. We had to be alert or it might surround us. Above the hill and beyond view is Pu'u O'o vent, where this flow of lava came from. Believe it or not, Terry had gone up to Pu'u O'o vent, into the crater and found the sky lights. Terry is very "Gutsy" and he promise to take me there. Aloha and thank you for viewing.
