Description

Here is a slight change of pace from my recent flower series. This lazy lizard was warming himself in the late afternoon sun Sunday and let me get pretty close for this shot. We have many varieties here in Florida, but I'm not up on my herpetology so don't know its exact genus. I'm guessing maybe some kind of anole? Maybe one of you can tell me, esp. the Hawaiian guys! ;) You can see a larger detail of this lizard HERE. I found it fun to watch 'em bob their heads and then do the thing with the throat frill (or whatever it's called.) Not sure if that's the same lizzard or not. :)

Great shot and surprising it let you get that close! The lighting is perfect. If you hadn't have said something, I would have thought it was a Terrarium shot!
