Description

All done in psp7 with just a mouse smugde and paint - no paintbrushes or filters or lighting effect.. lol I really need to get myself a wancom one of these days ..LOL but now I am so used to sliding the mouse around .. LOL the other day - uhm -(dont laugh now) I picked up a paintbrush and harldy knew what to do with it. I held it for a while and starred down at it ...and it seemed to say back to me .."ARE YOU going TO paint with me or not...!?!>>"it didn't feel right -I wanted to slide it around ~LOL I bought oils, linseed oil and then a real canvas .....then ran back on HERE LOL !! This started off as spacebabes 2.... it was going to be about his dream of being home and playing hocky then the snow melting and him waking up to this heating duct.. ..LOL but iI changed my mind..and decided for a spring hello I would redo it as it is.. there is a slight bit of photo refferance here but its been PAINTED over about 10 times lol and not much left of a wintery picture.. lol I had to make it more grassy and flowery spring add the sun and highlights ..ect..!. the pixalation didnt turn out that great cause i had to keep saving it to jpeg.. anything bigger it crashes and so each time i saved it had gotten a bit more blocky)... lol when i get my tax return its a new camera and new computer..then i will hopefully be able to do more presentable work( lol maybe a wancome- lol i have so much to buy for 3 kids though - i try to think of them before myself...) Have a nice day thank you for all of your time and wonderful thoughtfully nice comments!..they mean allot to me -inspire me and modivates me to strive to be better..(lol oh and thanks for putting up with my blahblahblah...) oh btw I has this done a bit tighter and blended but I crashed again and now REALLY need to go make lunch for my girls.. hugs to all - kimmer! this represents letting go of the old to bring in the new seasons of the heart!!...

Dear Kimarie, this is so touching! I can symphathize with him - to this very day. I love to ski and don't get to do it very often - and when I do get a chance for a day or two, it's always so sad to get back on the airplane and head back to Texas' "Summertime" winters. We get an inch of snow (maybe) once a decade! But - spring and summer will bring their own joys - and the snow will be back next years!!! Excellent work, my very talented friend!!!!! Love, Meredith

What an oustandingly well crafted image ... you've done exceedingly well. BTW, I purchased a Wacom table last year directly from their reconditioned stock ... at a really good price. You may wish to check out the Wacom website. And again, I think you do outstanding work. I'm awed.

So very touching Kimmer. I can see and feel the boy being sad. Wish you the best for your kids and getting the things you like to have too as I know having a new camera, PC and best of all a Wacom tablet will be a great thing for you to have.

WOW Kim...this is one incredible work... When I was younger my parents would flood our backyard into a hockey rink... I think some of our backyard games were more intense then game 7 of a NHL Stanley Cup final...!!! At age 51 I still play recreational hockey but the magic of that backyard rink is a fond memory I will forever cherish... I too would cry when the backyard rink started to melt..Nowadays I cringe at the thought of winter and how I love summer... Hockey is now an indoor all-year-round sport thanks to technology... This is fantastic work Kim...has a Norman Rockwell appeal to it...VOTE

he he .. thanks for the story about the paintbrush :-) Yeah, it takes some time getting used to a Wacom (I have not achievet that yet, but everytime I take the time it is just wonderful what you can do with it compared to a mouse .. particulary the fact that it is pressure sensitive). I think you should take that step if you at all have the possibility (also to avoid possible future "mouse/hand injury"). This picture you made here is just wonderful .. so expressive a little face. Cool background you made also! Excellent work! V

Terrific expression of wonder and anguish! I'm mourning the loss of the snow cover myself and can sympathize completely, spring is OK but brings all kinds of things, noise, dirt, bugs, dead animals dragged into the house, etc. that winter always conceals and muffles. Excellent work, love the story as well as the image. The only paint brush I'm any good with is a 2" angle brush, got any trim that needs painting around the house?
