Description

Dungerness on the south coast of England is quite a strange place. It's made from sand and rocks that have washed along the coast and come to rest here. So there's virtually nothing but miles and miles of rocks and pebbles. It has a large number of fishing boats, maybe because there's a large number of fish drawn to the warm water from the nuclear power station nearby? I was walking along the beach and came across these old fishing boats. It's very peaceful, since no one apart from the odd windsurfer goes there. Just the sound of the surf crashing and a few seagulls. It was very tranquil. I took several shots of this, both in normal, black and white and this one which is Infrared. Gives a ghostly quality to it I think. No post other than desaturation, levels and contrast. It was a bright blue sky and I couldn't actually see the clouds in real life. Only under infra red did they show up. Thanks for looking.

I'm obviously missed a lot since I've been absent. :( I just adore this in b/w. England seems to have so many amazing photo opportunities and you've proven that. Most definitely a fantastic find. love it!
