Description

The medieval citadel of Monteriggioni. Until the XI century it was a station of standstill on the Francigena Road in Tuscany, then Siena transformed Monteriggioni in a fortress to protect the north boundary in the wars against the enemy Florence around 800 years ago. The picture is nothing special but i like the colors and the history behind it... :)
