Description

Apophysis > PSP He who knows how to live can walk abroad Without fear of rhinoceros or tiger. He will not be wounded in battle. For in him rhinoceroses can find no place to thrust their horn, Tigers no place to use their claws, And weapons no place to pierce. Why is this so? Because he has no place for death to enter. (Tao te Ching - Chapter 50) Recently saw a movie called Touching The Void that documents the true story of Joe Simpson and Simon Yates' disastrous and near tragic attempt to climb the 6344 meter (20,813 foot) Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. The story graphically details how Simpson, thought to have died in the descent, actually climbs down the mountain alone with a broken leg. He arrived at their base camp three days later, just hours before being left behind. Truly a facinating tale of human fortitude. How did Joe Simpson survive?...in him there was no place for death to enter.

When I saw the thumbnail my first thought was to kid around with you and ask where the teeny weeny skier was, but then I got here and read what you wrote....very touching. Lovely flame! V (:

I know the title is snow capped, but I feel fire and ice in this one! The flames seem to flicker and roar in a awesome display of energy and heat. Wonderfully done! (=
