Description
This was definately one of those images where I just did not know when to stop. I kept coming back to it, primarily to adjust the sky, again and again and again. I ran across a couple of sky tutorials from mmoir and then a landscape tutorial from cajomi, both of whom provided some very good tips and insights.
I did some minor postwork using GIMP adjusting the colorbalance. The rest was all done using C4.

What kind of lights did you use for that scene? I like the texture for the water.
cajomi
the water is xlt. The sunset is really good. I have tried more then one time to make a convinving sunset, until today, without success. It seems to be very very difficult with the realistic sky. The problem for me is not so much the sky, but the light for the scene.

The lights are as follows... ambient - 0, light 1 - a spot light directly at the camera with a very small half-angle and a light cone, light 1 - a spot light positioned slightly to the left of light 1, pointing to the right with the light cone turned on, Indirect light - 0 Sky light - 150 I fumbled my way to a good water texture some time ago and have used variations on it in the last several images. I can post the settings if you would like. Thanks for all the comments!

This is incredible, especially the water. Its enough to make me seriously consider upgrading to C4. Please by all means post the water texture.
