This is really beautiful! I missed an opportunity to shoot a bird that looked a lot like this but I think it's bill was a bit longer and I thought it was a woodpecker. At any rate I forgot (no laughing now) to turn the camera ON!!! Arg! By the time I got my act together it was gone! This is simply a stunning picture though!

Randys, your puffed up Little Blue Heron(excellent shot!) got me back into your gallery. This Red Bellied woodpecker(male) is like the couple who hang around here. But..alas, it took your skill and opportunity to get the image. Wonderful shot. I will "pretend" I got it for fun until I get one of my own. Slim chance of that!
