Hi,
My name is Dean Etheridge and welcome to my bio.
I practice as a qualified engineering design professional, using high-end 3D modelling and manufacturing software. My product designs are specified globally on a wide variety of applications, including automotive, aerospace and other diverse high-technology applications.
I possess a solid grounding in the use of traditional media techniques, and my work naturally progressed to encompass advancements in the use of digital tools. From here, it was a small step to rediscover my love of more uniquely artistic themes.
My graphic style has always been strongly associated with reproducing realism as closely as possible, and probing the envelope of how this can be achieved across different sets of software packages.
I am honoured to have had my work selected for publication in several areas. These include the DAZ/deviantART ‘12 Months of 3D’ competition; ‘ImagineFX’ magazine; Ballistic Publishings’ ‘EXOTIQUE 2’ and 'EXOTIQUE 4' and '3DArtist' magazine.
My other interests are photography and travel. For the latter, I have been privileged to have travelled to, and explored many continents around the world. My favourite second home is SE Asia, and I am greatly influenced by both it’s people and culture.
I currently live in the UK with my wife and daughter who are both very special to me, and hugely supportive in my work.

Oh yeah!!! Awesome, buddy!!! This looks great. You did a fabulous job with the painting. I think you've grabbed ahold of those reins tight with that new pen tablet! The hair is absolutely fantastic. You did a fabulous job and it does have the realism you were shooting for. If the devil is in the details, she just walked out with horns. Well done, my friend.

really nice realism work, your detail is masterful... perhaps skin a bit funky in areas of forehead and ear...

Very nice attempt! Although the throat and fingers look more painted than in a photo, they do not distract from how great this looks. In fact, it adds a crafted look that I think is nice. I like this a lot.

Wonderful portait, the end result really justifies all your effort... beautiful artwork! -- B.B.

just a wonderful piece of work:a real eye for the detail and textures that make every face different.

Stunning portrait. You could have posted it under photography and very few people would have noticed it wasn't so. Nice face morph. Great lighting. The only think I don't see clearly is that there seems to be something wrong on her ear or maybe it's just a shadows play. Excellent and vote.
rasputina
Absolutely phenomanal, her facial features are drop dead gorgeous.

This is an amazing and totally unique character you have created. Jaw droppingly so. Nothing about this looks like Poser to me -- I'm just blown away by the realism of her facial features. A REAL person here. And look at those piano fingers. Stunning work.
