Description

The Legend of First Man In the East, at the place where the Black Cloud and the White Cloud met, First Man, Atse'hastqin, was formed; and with him was formed the white corn, perfect in shape, with kernels covering the whole ear. Dohonot i'ni is the name of this first seed corn, and it is also the name of the place where the Black Cloud and the White Cloud met. First Man stood on the eastern side of the first world. He represented the Dawn and was the life giver. First Man and First Woman are two of the more important of the Holy People. First Man assigned the different animals to their postions in the world; he caused light and dark to come about; together with First Woman, he reared Changing Woman. Bronze sculpture by Joe Beeler In a private collection, open to the Public Chandler, Arizona Thank you all very much for all your wonderful comments and I wish to thank you for taking your time to view my artistic scribblings. Excellent!!!!! That is gorgeous, i agree with bentchick, you really got B/W nailed!!! If there is one suggestion i can think of it would be to perhaps mask it in Photoshop or so and try to make a smoother transission of the sculpture into that black background. It can be my monitor but the edges look a little too jagged and sharp which makes the statue look kinda pasted on there. Maybe its enought just to smohten those edges out...that is of course only my humble suggestion. #:o) Have a great one!!!!!!!!!!

you know l like this one slightly more than yesterdays its the angle tilted slightly, it just catches the light highlighting the features and giving a little more depth .. have saying that both are beautiful in their own right... sounds like a truly fascinating collection.. love the mythology and spirituality behind these sculptures... outstanding work.. :)...)... if any of that makes sense smiles
