If the road were paved in dirt, I can imagine a time past as a horse drawn cart makes its way up the hill with the rider walking besides the horse. The stream in the far left corner, there might be a fly fisherman. If i really want to be adventures, I'd say that there would be a couple of highway robbers waiting for a caravan to reach the crest where your standing, to releave the traveler of their wealth. I guess I have read too many adventure books as a child. ;~)

Beautiful place. In a way it's a shame that a road runs thru it. But at least the road gives the rest of us a chance to see such a beautiful place.
