BIOHi all, I work as an illustrator at the Sydney Morning Herald
in Australia. born 1961.I always wanted to do 3d and 2 years ago, I played around with Adobe Dimensions and Strata, beforebuying Cinema. I really love it, and prefer it much more to 2d illustration. My 3d work now gets published regularly at the newspaper, but my favourite is the stuff I do for this site.My website:http://johnshakespeare.com.au/

One of the scariest pictures I've seen for a long time! Lots of fun though. 27 hours... I'd shave their little heads! : ) Excellent job!

nasty evil clowns.. very scarey. Ive always hated clowns, they're too strange to be nice.. Great image, love the hair :)

That's kinda freaky. I love it.

Excellent! The concept and commentary are very well supported by this image... 27-hours... ouch! These clowns are a bit creepy looking, but that might be a good thing, given the message you're delivering with this piece. Well done!

:-) Creepy indeed, but cool. Concept is well appreciated here!

I really like this one! (27 hours? You did something wrong. An image like this can be rendered in less than 2 hours...)

Great job Shakes, i like the concept, reality tv shows suck. Bring back the good old B Movies, thats what is say.

I would use a render tag on the hair that excludes it from the GI. It would dramatically reduce your render time with little to no quality impact. Give it a try! You might also want to try a light dome instead of GI. Great image BTW.

Cuddly Creepy's. :) Excellent work there.

thanks everyone! thanks for the tip alexmit..tried that, but I think it's the poly count on the hair-each bunch of hair has 50.000 polys..per side! hmm...14 clowns,28 clumps of hair at my calculations is 1.4 million polys....EEK!
