This image is a cousin to an image that I just submitted for the Fractal Universe calendar. I would like to encourage you to submit your images for the calendar. Although I didn't make it into next year's calendar, I did for the previous two and I have to admit that it's fun to walk into a bookstore and see the calendar sitting on the shelf with your image inside of it.
Take a look at the images that have made it into the calendar in the past. You will see that most are not too fancy but still beautiful.
There's a thread in the forum about where to go for more information. The images are due this Friday. Do your images first, then your taxes. At least you'll have your priorities in the right place ;~)

I can't imagine why your wonderful images have not made it into the calendar- the fact they haven't is quite intimidating!! this one is lovely I really like the outlines to the "petals" and the glorious palette you have used
