Description

I am dedicating this Image to Maddy and to Zana112. Maddy for his support over the past 2 days, when I was so ready to give up, and his inspiration and giving me the drive to do this image, which I did in Terragen, bryce and Photoshop8. And Zana because of his love of Sci-fi and I have him on my mind today, so this is his for him as well. Love you both. Lots of hugs.

I like the use of reflection in the water. Very well done. Of course since i've been playing mass amounts of half life 2, incoming flying things usually mean death for me.

Give it up?...whatever for? You have talent and whenever you begin to doubt yourself{as we all do} just remember why you make these images...it's FUN! I like replicated scenery...you see it in nature all the time!!Great work!

Great job on this image. I like how you blended the atmosphere into both the ship and the backround. My only suuggestion would be to darken the highlights of white around the edges of the reflected image. Very nice piece =)

Not only its fun to do images - also we all do it for ourselves, because we all do have some talents of somekind (we wouldnt be here posting our stuff, if we wouldnt have any talent at all, would we? ;) blush Thank you very much, Rae for dedicating this piece of work also to me. Never have been a supporter, but it looks like I am right now. ;O) Again: Thank you! Now the "critiques" - I hate doing this but okay - the image I really like. The reflection in the water looks cool and good it is. The atmosphere/haze looks good also. But 2 things though: 1.) Its a ship flying over - how about a jet trail? (a cylinder going from the rear of the ship with a fire/smoke material will do - try to experiment). 2.) The "hills" of the landscape look like soldiers g - all the same and all in an geometrical order. Okay, maybe the planet is like this, but usually its not - nevertheless its a science-fiction image, so there is a 99% chance that it is that way - but the eye (the viewers eyes) have much more to do, if there is maybe somekind of more detail in the landscape. But that are only my two cents to it ;O) You also should keep in mind: Imagination is a tricky thing - its not objective, though more its "only" a subjective view of things. We all have other images in our minds that we try to press into that technical little thingy called puter with the software we own - so it is your imagination! ;O) Taste is different. Another one: Never EVER give it up again! ;O) Take care!

thank you all for your Kind comments and Critiques. I noticed the whte on the edges of the spaceship, I should have cleaned them up, and for some reason I was just thinking it was the bottom of the ship. As for the terrain, that is the actual terrain. It is an Alien terrain. And its actually only a small corner of the terrain about , 1/100 of the entire terrain. The rest is made up of the same pillars, with no water either, I added that because I did not like the alien dusty ground. I wont give up. I added a haze to it, and several differant layers of fog in PSP. I did the ship in Bryce and tried to get the coloring and lighting to match that of the lighting in Terragen. and then to flip it and get a reflection of it in the water in PSP. It took awhile to do. I knew I probably should have kept going. I thought of a jet stream or even some laser beams firing into some unseen enemy offscreen. But that is all something to look forward to next time. Again thanks again for the comments.

You have postet some super cool artwork in your gallery since my last visit (sorry for not being so much around lately). I love how you combined different programs to produce this sci-fi work.. there is really some cool action going on here. Cool ship there and also the TG work is very good with this original terrain, lighting and water.. I can not really get the reflection of the ship in the water to turn right, if I try to imagine how a reflection would be, .. sorry I guess that is just me? LOL. Cool work!

Thank you for your comments, But just like yardobe wrote, give up on what, this is excellent. I'm just sorry that I wasn't there to help you. But what ever it was I say you took care of it like a pro. Excellent image.

Hi Rae, I let EBOTS pile up on me now it's catch up time so sorry I'm late. GIVE UP WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ! Listen maddy and Yardobe covered a lot of ground but here's my thoughts or 2 cents worth if you wish. Hell girl you got tons of talent you only been around a few months your producing great work. You can't be super creative every single shot. There are ups and downs and there are those weeks when you get on a role and man the the idea's and creative juices just pore out it's all part of the game. You have to keep this in mind this is supposed to be fun not stressful back off relax and enjoy it. I think this image is great especially the space ship modeled by you and damn cool at that not everybody can do this. So stick around and let's see more stuff.Hugs George "V" (::)
