Description

The red colour represents flares set off as a marker for the pilots. 1.8 mil polygons and ran pretty well on my P4_3.4g. Ecosystem`s fun, And Vue5inf is very impressive, Anyone know were i can find a Jap_Zero model for some action scenes {gunfire, chase scenes} let me know. thanks. Spitfire`s by Anders Lejczak www.colacola.se Rest Vue5inf. Comments always welcome. thanks for viewing jtt....Tony.

An emotive subject that won't go well with some members. However, I think it is well done and that should be said

Fantastic image! A few notes for improvement - 1) try to make the lighting on the red smoke and cloud a little more realistic - as it is, it looks like they've been added after the fact (even if they haven't!) 2) except for the running person, everyone else seems pretty relaxed! Wouldn't they at least be looking up? 3) the water seems very calm... I guess that's ok but maybe add some ripples near the wing. 4) Maybe add a little motion blur to give the sensation of great speed? great work!!

The national markings on the Spifires are the wrong color. All allied aircraft operating against the Japanese used only blue and white markings. The roundels had a blue outer and white center, the same with the tail flash.Red was taboo - could be mistaken for Japanese coloration !!

This one is of the best vue images i have seen in a while now...extremely well done tony, disagree with quite alot of what turner410 has said, i find the planes to be a focul point of the image, motion blur would distort this view, and i dont think there is any need for ripples around the wing as the river is far too calm, and really shouldnt be noticable from such a distance, anyway, i think this is a must vote image.

thanks for using my Spitfires in such a great way! I'm currently working on my next model - the Dornier DO 335 Pfeil that I will release shortly. You can follow the progress here: http://www.colacola.se/wip_pfeil.htm

XLT work. My only suggestion would be to add yellow/orange colors to the red smoke. Well done :)

great POV and without the red smoke very realistic.

Excellent work! This would make for great poster art or for the cover of a game. Nice blur on the props. It's obvious you spent a lot of time on the details. I agree with geoffgeoffp on the Spitfire markings, they're incorrect. My only negative comments would be the lens flare, but that's only me, I simply don't care for them...I find them distracting. Also, the red smoke seems to need additional post work. Even with those minor things, this picture is certainly worthy of a vote! :)

This is an excellent image but did Spitfires actually fight in the Pacific? Would this not be more approriate with American Mustangs? Could be wrong about that. I'm no war historian. Great image anyway.
