Description

The ancient Greeks believed that all objects, living and dead, were created out of Chaos. Could we produce a scene of Chaos before it evolved into living creatures? If we just pile random objects on top of each other, it will simply appear as a mound of junk. We would have to exhibit some orderliness, some "method to the madness". It must appear to have the potential of life, things that could develop into living beings. I used two scenes, both of which contained curved mirrors, and placed one inside the other and then rendered it all as a single scene. (Check out the following two graphics in my gallery: "cwolfman") You will recognize that a portion of "Deception 2" (Apr 9, 2005) with its mirrored wastepaper basket was inserted into the center of the mirrored cylinder in "A Cylindrical Mirror" (Apr 7, 2005). The two curved mirrors interacted with each other while duplicating, warping and distorting a few simple objects. So during the ray-tracing, the mirrors actually re-modeled and re-assembled the objects and themselves. Best regards, Cy
