Description
Was quite busy till last week, and only got a reason to pick up my camera when this storm broke!
It lasted all through the night with pounding rain and roaring thunder and lightning shows! :)
I wish i didnt suck at capturing lightning, as i took about a hundred shots and this is the only one i got that came out visible :P (perseverence & patience is key i think)
A bit too close for comfort at some times, but theres no better rush than braving a storm to get a photo, hope you have enjoyed this image, i worked hard (and wet) for it! ;)
Feel free to drop a comment, and i apologise for the graininess, but it was pitch black outside when i took this photo around 11pm.

Cool shot...haven't yet caught lightning in a pic, do believe it must be a difficult thing to do!

I admire your patience. I have sat for what seemed like hours only to get one lousy blurry photo of lightning. Great shot! Way to go!

Whoo-hoo!!!!! WAY TO GO, Anthony!!!!!!!!!! spinning in my chair over this one Totally magnificent!!!! What are you talking about sucking at capturing lighting???? Look at this!!! It's AWESOME! Don't you realize how hard these kind of shots are? This was DEFINITELY worth the danger, the LONG hours, and getting completely soaked to GET YOUR SHOT!!!!!! That's one helluva a capture you made there, and i LOVE the purple!!!!! it adds to the electric mood!!!! Now ya gotta tell me 'bout that animal leaping off the screen on the right. what is that? an antelope? a tiger? a dog? a zebra? PLEASE do tell!!!!! Ok, now this image would be an EXCELLENT one to enter into our monthly challenge that we have going on in the photo forum! our challenge is nightshots and i haven't seen any lightening shots yet!!! It's REAL easy to enter! I'll IM you in a sec and send you a link. :) You get A++++++++++++++++++ for this totally outstanding capture!!!!!! Bravo!
