I tried to catch this guy landing on a more natural background, but he/she wouldn't leave the nesting box. Comments Welcome!

what cam/lens did you use for this picture? The lighting is so perfect -- detail is crisp and color is right on. I would love to take a picture like this. I have a Nikon D70 .. 70-300mm zoom .. seems my images are so much darker... (cheaper lens?)

Excellent shot! I would have cropped the top and right hand side a little more...depending on how many pixels are left...anyways the lighting here is fantastic!
