Description

Just what you want after struggling up a fast flowing, crouching height tunnel is to find it narrows down to a tiny tunnel only big enough to put your head in!!
This was an interesting "drain" on the side of the river Severn in Shropshire, in the 18th century there was reputed to be a large forge here with waterwheels and steam engines. On the surface you can find the remains of man made ponds, but not much else!
When you shuffle up this tunnel (you cannot walk its too low and the water is flowing so fast it takes your feet away!) you reach this tiny tunnel which seems to be the outlet from a waterwheel - the wheel would have been in the chamber beyond the second arch! Well worth wet feet!! 8-)
I tried to get the camera as low as possible here to capture the 'force' of the water, not sure if it has worked, but your comments would be appreciated.

What a cool "excursion"! Yes, you did capture the force of the water well. So you are a bit of an Indiana Jones archiologist as well... =]

To have ventured where not many have gone bfore is fantastic! Camera to high or not low enough, the image of the moment and its experience takes presedence here. A job very well done indeed.

nice venture, thanks for the description, I would have thought the tunnel was bigger without your clip.
