Description

After I posted "Richter Scale" yesterday, I recalled that I created the image before I started working with layers, so the color work is limited. Six extra layers later, I got this, which I think has more dynamic coloring. Had to re-program the coloring algorithm and throw in a 4th root transformation to get the lighting to hit all the balls the same way. Since that was on top of a cube root, I guess the end result was a 7th root? Whatever it was, it worked. Incidentally, some people wondered what this had to do with earthquakes. I called these "Richter Scale" because they struck me as the fractal version of a machine readout from a seismograph or a lie detector where lines go larger or smaller depending on the input. Maybe if I had them horizontal. Hope you enjoy. Created in Ultra Fractal.

fantastic thing, missed the first one and had to take a look there too. like this more because of the more serene coloring, with gives it more atmosphere and depth.

The fourth root of a cube root is a twelfth root: (x^(1/3))^(1/4)=x^(1/3 * 1/4)=x^1/12 Just in case you cared. :) I like images that have a main axis on the diagonal - it lends a certain dynamic to the composition, which suits my own personal taste quite well. Since the title alludes to a dynamic situation, I think this is a good choice.

Excelent and original, it reminds me of planetary alignment, equally showing their magnetic fields!!
