Description

listening to some old cream from the disraeli gears album...Deserted cities of the heart..now that is a great song... living in the bay area thru the 60s and 70s was a treat..seeing Santana,Jefferson Airplane,Quicksilver messenger service, the greatful dead,Hot Tuna,Moby grape,Tower of power, the Sons of Champlin all free at one time or another..it was such such a fun and amazing scene..free concerts in Golden gate park,Be-ins,Love ins,.. my oldest brother Rick did Lightshows(Wumberlog lights) at the filmore and winterland and very often i got to go and help out..these were really some of the high points in my memory,i got a personal invitation to go to winterland on thursday nights for a bout 6 months and see jefferson airplane practice..Our main source of transportation was a 1963 volkswagen deluxe bus..red and white with stainedglass decals in the windows.,lovingly known as the magic bus..also met some very close friends of Agustus Stanley Owsley the 3rd..this encounter alone changed my life...after that i began studying religion,Nutrition,Biology,,and anything else i could find to try to find the answers to all the big questions...To this day i am still on this quest..the times have changed but my values from the 60s and 70s are still intact with one important addition that i think was overlooked by alot of people back then.."RESPECT".respect for each other and respect for our environment.Love peace and respect.... a note on poser 6..there is a content update for poser 6 already, to fix some of the little problems and some new content also, there are also some nice freebies at content paradise..check it out..

Funny you mention Cream; I had Tales of Brave Ulyssys (SP?) on my mind the other day. Awesome image, Bill! It's so vibrant and alive with reflections and curved surfaces! Fantastic setting and hues! Absolutely wonderful image! Off to work I go....Excellent work!

Wow Bill -- this should be hanging in a gallery somewhere. One of your best and most creative abstract pieces -- VOTE and add to my favs. I envy your good fortune to get to see those great bands - especially at the old Filmore. I know a lot of the guys from Santana and Tower of Power since I used to produce music - There's a popular club band called Spang-A-Lang which I recorded and helped to get Tony Lindsay and Myron Dove hooked in with Santana and Tom Politzer with Tower of Power(I think they still play every now and then at Number One Broadway in Los Gatos)- I sure miss the Bay area music scene.

You know, Respecting each other wouldn't be hard if we love each other for real with our hearts and not our words. Love to give is like a gift already given. No expectations just plain love and if you do that everything else just steps into place..sometimes very ackwardly and slowly, but it does. Oh.. and as I'm looking at this image it's actually evoking thoughts of a nice juicy naval orange when you pull out pieces of the pulp an let it explode on your tongue as you bite it open. It even smells like an orange. Really really juicy and good for you.

The 50's and 60's? Those were my growing up years but I didn't do the Woodstock thing, nor the Hippie or Flower Child thing. Guess I was what they referred to as an L7...lol. Great colors here and great use of imagination on abstract art.

Far out! Not only is your image absolutely incredible, but you've had one incredible life just from what I've read so far. You definitely sound like a person who's got it all together, which I can't seem to do. Do you do any life coaching perchance? ;) Awesome artwork and thank you so much for sharing these incredible pieces of your life! Love & Peace!

Dear Bill, I didn't "quite" make it to Fillmore, but I well know the music you speak of! By one of those weird coincidences, when I clicked on this image, Nicky Hopkins unbelievable "Edward, the Mad Shirt Grinder" off Quicksilver's Shadow Grove album is blasting away! GOD HE WAS AWESOME! And now I just cued up Who Do You Love? Cipollina's riffs on that are some of the best that's ever been created! And yeah, I love Carlos and Grace, too. SO - what the Dickens is a sweet little blond doing listening to such depraved things? WELL - with a change of birth dates, I might have been right out there with you! I've been playing keyboards for as long as I can remember - and a little rhythm and bass - and woodwinds - tried violin, but quickly gave that up as a public service. I did some studio work in college - and deprived some real musicians of a job, but I needed the bucks! I don't have much love for "my generations" music zero virtuosity! Almost everything I play was written before my time in a lot of cases, several hundred years. I may go days without doing anything, and then spend a whole weekend beating Mister Steinway to a bloody pulp! And then on Monday, Ive got to listen to my manicurist gripe about repairing the wreckage! So cue up Edward, or Soul Sacrifice, or Triad and think of born too late Meredith!! Love, Meredith
